Plants in "Small World" are very important decorations for the buildings in the game, but many players don't know how plants are used for decoration, and plants can be divided into vines, trees and flowers. Vines are the more unique of the three plants. You have little control over architectural vines, but adding things like windows or arches will change the look of the vines.
How to use small forest plants for decoration
For those who don't know, flora is basically just a fancy word for plant, but I use it anyway.
There are three types of procedurally generated flora, trees, flowers and vines.
You have little control over vines on a building, but adding things like windows or arches will change the look of the vines.
Trees are simple, you can place one tree at a time and choose randomly from several variations based on the type of map you are on, if you want to find a specific tree from whatever map you are on, then just Delete and replace the tree until you get the look you want. You can also move the tree if it's not in the right position. Just hold down the little square that appears when you hover over a tree root, and then you can move it, but you can't rotate them, at least as far as I know.
Flowers are a little more complicated. You can draw with the flower tool, which will place the flower wherever your mouse goes when you draw. You can also adjust the size of the tool for greater precision. Painting on the same patch of flowers will add more flowers in that specific spot. You can do this up to three times, but the third time won't add much. You can also water the flowers in water, which will increase the foliage of the water lilies.
