Fences and walls in "Small World" are very important buildings in the game. After all, this game is just for looking good. A house without walls doesn't look good either. Fences are also very common in fields and forests. Placing fences is very simple. Click and hold where the fence begins, then while holding down, drag the mouse along the path of the fence.
How to build fences and walls in the small forest world
Fences and walls are probably the most basic tools in the game. However, the way they interact with things can be confusing.
Placing a fence is simple, press and hold where the fence begins, then drag the mouse along the path of the fence while holding down. The same applies to walls. If you hold down the end of the fence while you see a small cube, it will continue building on the fence. If you finish one at the end of another fence or wall of the same type (i.e. fence goes into fence, wall goes into wall) then it will connect them together as much as possible. Holding down the left button on the keyboard will prevent them from connecting to each other when placed, which can be used in some niche situations where the connection is poor. If you don't like the look of a particular section of the fence, then you can use the Wall Rubber Tool to delete that section of the fence and then rebuild it the way you want using the tips already provided. If no tool is selected, you can increase or decrease the height of the wall or fence. Placing a path on a wall creates an arch, as does a fence, but I personally wouldn't call a wooden frame an arch. They can also be attached to the edge of a building or other prefabricated fence or wall, building them into the edge of the fence or wall. This will show you how it will connect and you can choose its location. Using the paint tool, you can customize your fence by color, your walls by color and architectural style (none, stone, or wood), and if you use a wooden frame for your wall, you can customize its color just like your fence.

I also used the fence to create arches that look like the stone arches it supports the house. I did this by setting up the fence, and since the path already formed the arch of the house, the fence automatically made them blend into the arch. Once I had them in place, I adjusted them and increased their height to hide the top beam of the fence.
I also use walls and fences for some basic decoration when the procedurally generated decorations are not enough or don't appear at all. The second screenshot is an example.
