How to get the Pipe Master achievement in Ice Age 2

Choose to house the Winter Home and seal all three poison vents before the first wave of toxicity increases, on Guardian difficulty or higher.

Location: Story-Chapter 4 [After you colonize the Dong family]

Make sure New London has enough population so that thousands of workers can be sent to Winter Home immediately at the start of Chapter 4. Use a quick icebreaker strategy without overthinking safety and establish a smoke zone as quickly as possible. Control is maintained in advance through rules and laws like the Propaganda Bureau.

I found having 20 weeks of free time to be somewhat easier by using a strategy similar to the "Coredigger" achievement.

Here's what I did:

Before you begin, make sure you have your resources and labor ready [listed below]

Dispatch additional staff (3,000 employees) to Winterhome

Use rapid antifreeze to remove every toxic smoke source (reference picture)

When you clear away frost, build "smoke filter areas"

Block the last source of toxic smoke and get the achievement

I used 4 "Quick Ice Breakers" to clear a path [160 Hot Stamps and 80 Prefabs]

I built "3 smoke filter areas" [300 hot stamps/1200 prefabs/3 cores/1800 employees]
