The fusion drill in "Ice Age 2" is a very important special building in the game. It can mine deep resources with unlimited resource points. However, many players don't know how to use the fusion drill. In fact, they want to use the deep fusion drill. The melted diamond must be placed in an area. It cannot be placed on a resource point alone.
How to use the Deep Melt Diamond in Ice Age 2
Like other structures in Frostpunk 2, the Molten Drill must be placed within an area. It cannot be placed on a resource point alone.
This means that players will need to build the appropriate area for the resource they are trying to extract, and then build the Molten Drill within that area. The building can be placed within extraction and food areas as long as it is built on deep sediments. It does not work with normal resource nodes, only deep deposits.
Deep deposits have a small infinity symbol next to them to distinguish them from normal resource icons.
Keep in mind that each Fused Drill costs one core to craft. Since cores are not easily obtained, players should carefully decide which resources are most needed. Check which resources are scarce on your map and use Felte Drill to get a consistent source of that resource.
