The Chemical Agents premium Warbond expands your gas-attack options in Helldivers 2. The theme is all about biohazard, poison gas, and bug spray. While the aesthetics are on point, there isn’t much to recommend over some of the game’s established staples. The items in this Warbond are evocative for sure, but slot better in a support role than outright destructiveness.

All rewards in Chemical Agents Warbond

Chemical Agents comes with 21 items after purchasing it for 1000 Super Credits. From then on, you can unlock the items page-by-page by spending Medals. We hope you have loads saved up, because the total cost comes down to 759 Medals. This includes various items, including two sets of armor, a new pistol, various cosmetics, as well as (for the first time ever) two Stratagems. So let’s get into everything you can get from this Warbond.

Item Type Cost
AF-50 Noxious Ranger Light armor 40
AF-50 Noxious Ranger Helmet 30
“Ew” Victory pose 8
Standard of Safe Distance Cape 8
Standard of Safe Distance Player card 2
Mustard Hellpod Hellpod pattern 20
100 Super Credits Premium currency 7
G-4 Gas  Grenade 30

The AF-50 Noxious Ranger armor comes with the new armor trait, Advanced Filtration. It’s a passive that gives you 80% resistance to damage from gas clouds, as well as making you immune to the confusion effect. Meanwhile, the G-4 Gas grenade creates a gas cloud in a 7m radius with the reworked Caustic effect. It deals a small amount of ticking damage while applying the confusion debuff that makes enemies act erratically.

Item Type Cost
Steriliser Stratagem 85
100 Super Credits Premium currency 12
AF-02 Haz-Master Medium armor 45
AF-02 Haz-Master Helmet 35
Mustard Shuttle Pelican-1 pattern 50
Patient Zero’s Remembrance Player card 5
Patient Zero’s Remembrance Cape 20

The new Steriliser stratagem functions the same way as the flamethrower. However, instead of flames, it bursts with poison gas with the Caustic effect. Its best use is as a support weapon to set up enemies for destruction, thanks to the confusion effect. The AF-02 Haz-Master armor set comes with the same Advanced Filtration passive trait as Noxious Ranger.

Item Type Cost
100 Super Credits Premium currency 32
Expert Exterminator Player title 20
P-11 Stim Pistol Secondary weapon 80
Mustard Exosuit Exosuit pattern 50
AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath Stratagem 110
Natural Gas Extraction 2-Player emote 70

The P-11 Stim Pistol lets you heal your allies, but does no damage to the enemy. Instead, it recovers around 30% of allies’ health per shot, with 6 shots in a magazine. Meanwhile, the new Guard Dog variant, Dog Breath is the standout item, which serves as a backpack stratagem that shoots poison gas with the Caustic effect. Using it leaves your hands free to shoot at the newly dazed enemies.

Best items in Chemical Agents

This Warbond doesn’t have much to recommend it over other more powerful ones we’ve seen before. It can be said that it offers mostly support items, without much destructive firepower. Gas attacks work better against Terminids, especially swarms, meaning that in theory, the Automatons won’t be too bothered. Still, there are a few good items to consider:

1. AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath

The drone allows you t keep shooting at confused enemies. Captured by VideoGamer

This backpack stratagem drone variant is the standout item of this Warbond. It provides the support you need to deal with hordes while leaving you hands-free to keep shooting. Other drones are better at outright destroying enemies, but Dog Breath gives you a degree of crowd control that you can’t find elsewhere.

2. G-4 Gas grenade

The caustic effect of the grenade debuffs enemies caught in its radius. Captured by VideoGamer

While not as strong or destructive as other grenades, G-4 Gas has decent viability in a support loadout. Just like the Dog Breath above, you can use it as a crowd control source instead of the similar Stun grenade. It has one more perk over it, in that it can close nests, due to its ability to deal a small amount of damage. The Caustic effect lets you set up groups of enemies for a bombardment.

3. Steriliser

Did someone call for an exterminator? Captured by VideoGamer

The bug-spray stratagem is something that players have begun experimenting with. Its confusion effect is far more powerful than the small amount of damage it deals. What sets it apart is that you can spray a wide berth of bugs with it to set them up for your allies. As such, it slots into a support role, so don’t expect to rack up many kills with it.

4. AF-02 Haz-Master armor set

The mustard yellow complements well with the other cosmetics in the Warbond. Captured by VideoGamer

Both of the new armor sets in this Warbond come with the Advanced Filtration passive. It lets you wade into clouds of smoke to deal with any enemies caught within. However, Haz-Master has two points going for it over the Noxious Ranger. One, it’s a medium armor, which will let you survive longer if any of the confused enemies decide it’s time to attack. And second, subjective, is that the Hazmat suit aesthetic looks great.

5. P-11 Stim Pistol

Stim gun lets you shoot your teammates without consequence. Captured by VideoGamer

The P-11 Stim Pistol is the only “real” weapon in the Warbond, occupying the secondary slot. As such, you’re trading in the ability to fall back and deal damage, with the ability to give your allies a minor heal. It only heals for about 30% of health, and that’s after you even manage to line up a shot. With how chaotic Helldivers 2 can be, just hitting your allies with the gun can take more shots than needed, which translates to time you could’ve spent clearing enemies attacking them instead. Still, it could have some niche uses as a support weapon, for example, but boosting the stamina regen of a teammate kiting enemies.
