Space Marine 2 Operations mode is a mode that was described as a solo experience,e yet, with the game’s launch, you are forced to queue into players. Thankfully, there are a few tricks and features coming to help you play Space Marine 2 Operations solo. Here’s everything you need to know to do that.
How to play Operations solo in Space Marine 2
There are two ways to play Operations solo in Space Marine 2
- Trick the game into offline mode
- Wait for the Season 1 launch for private lobbies.
At the time of writing, the only way to play Operations solo is via the offline method. There’s a few tricks to do this
Find a method to turn your connection to the internet off. Players can disconnect their game from the internet, by disabbing wifi, pulling out ethernet cables, turning the router off, or using a program like Netlimiter.
- Go into the game as normal after the battle barge
- Disable your internet when in-game on the battle barge in any gameplay mode.
- Enter an Operation mode with AI allies.
- Turn your internet back on when in Operation, preferably at the start of the mission where its safest and so you have around 20 mins for the game to recognise you’re online again.
- You should automatically reconnect and keep your progress at the end of the mission while retaining AI companions.
This method will enable you to play the Operations in offline mode. When you come back online in the game, you will then be able to keep your progress and currency for class and weapon level up.
This trick works fairly often, but be advised of the risk of losing your progress by doing it.
Make sure you’re in offline mode as identified via the watermark in the bottom right of the screen.
Instead, players can play in private lobbies come the launch of Season 1. It is stated in the Space Marine 2 roadmap and season pass that Season 1 will launch with private lobbies. As it stands, that is set for some time in September 2024. It is not available directly on the Space Marine 2 release date. So, if you want the safe method, await news of the season 1 release date, and then you can play Operations privately.
Playing in offline mode or going solo will also help you collect the Dataslates as you have no allies pressuring you. It’s needed for the Space Marine 2 trophies list.
