There is no denying that Star Wars Outlaws has its issues. Many have reported stuttering, crashes, and glitches with the game. Fortunately, some of these issues have been fixed with patches but some still remain. One of the main glitches prevents players from being able to save while they are in combat. This unfortunate glitch has caused many to lose their progress. Let’s break down how to fix the “cannot save while in combat” bug in Star Wars Outlaws.
PreviousHow to fix the “cannot save while in combat” bug
The “cannot save while in combat” bug is a glitch that prevents players from being able to save while they are in combat. Unfortunately, while this is a feature in the game, it sometimes persists outside of combat. When this happens, you will be unable to save the game and the autosave will be turned off. This means that you won’t be able to save the game in any way. To make matters worse, players can sometimes not realize this bug is affecting them until they have been playing for 30 minutes or more without saving.
The best way to fix the glitch is to have Kay off herself in the open world.
To fix the “cannot save while in combat” bug in Star Wars Outlaws, you can simply try getting yourself killed. This will often fix the glitch and allow you to save again. If you take this route, we recommend jumping off of a high cliff to make Kay meet her maker.
This will ultimately make Kay respawn near where she died and allow you to save your game once more. You can also die while in combat but this has a chance to send you back and cause you to lose your progress.
If the glitch remains in effect after you have Kay meet her end, you may need to just shut off the game. This will cause you to lose any progress that you made after the glitch began. Be sure to also check if you are able to fast travel as this sometimes fixes the glitch as well.
