Past and Future is the fourth and final subquest in Chapter 5: Act 2, Under a White Stone, an Archon Quest in Genshin Impact. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Echoes of Life Archon Subquest.
Past and Future is unlocked automatically when you finish subquest Echoes of Life.

Reward: 925 Adventure EXP, 30 Primogems, 40,575 Mora, 1 Cornerstone of Stars and Flames, 4 Hero’s Wit, 7 Mystic Enhancement Ore. *If you are at Adventure Rank 60, your reward will not include Adventure EXP. Instead, you receive 9,000 more Mora.
Mission Description: Find Mauvika, who rescued you from the Abyss.
Objectives:
- Look for Mauvika
- Attend the banquet at the inn
- Enter the inn
- Talk to Mavuika
Starting Location: Basin of Unnumbered Flames
Look for Mavuika
Use the Teleport Waypoint on the south end of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.
From there, turn around and interact with the door behind you.
Once inside, Go forward and behind the Sacred Flame, then to the back of the room.
Head through the door you find and approach Mavuika and Chuychu.
Chuychu performs a check-up on everyone and purifies everyone from any Abyssal contamination.
Mavuika then tells you about the fate of Natlan. She then mediates, reliving many memories from her past.
Attend the banquet at the inn
Use the Teleport Waypoint on the north end of the Stadium of the Sacred Wind.
Then go straight, following the curve of the market to the left.
When you reach the counter, turn left and go down the winding staircase.
Approach the entrance to the inn to start the cutscene with Chuychu.
Enter the inn
Enter the Weary Inn to attend Kachina’s celebration feast.
Talk to Mavuika
After a bit of celebration, turn around and talk to Mavuika. She sits alone at her own table behind Kinich.
She asks you to join the fight for Natlan. To boot, she promises to forge you your own Ancient Name.
Afterward, a short scene plays with El Capitano and an unnamed person, whom you may know already…
Complete the cutscene to finish the subquest Past and Future, the final subquest of the Archon quest Chapter 5: Act 2, Under a White Stone.
Right now, there is currently no use for the Cornerstone of Stars and Flames. Since it’s categorized as a “Character level-up material,” it likely will contribute to the Pyro element that the Traveler will most likely receive before all of Natlan’s Archon quests end.
