Embercore Flowers are beautiful, fiery flowers in Genshin Impact, and are only grown in the Natlan region. They’re used in various crafting and cooking recipes and are needed to obtain the Natlan weapon blueprints “Earth Shaker” and “Footprint of the Rainbow.” It’s always nice to have a large stack of cooking and crafting supplies on hand, but if it’s just the blueprints you’re after, 20 Embercore Flowers will suffice.

Unfortunately, Embercore Flowers aren’t only quite rare, but they require a little nudge before you can collect their core, which may cause you to overlook them at first.

Here’s how to get Embercore Flowers in Genshin Impact, including where to find Embercore Flowers and our suggestion for the best farming route.

Embercore Flower uses in Genshin Impact

Embercore Flowers are a Natlan-based material, which means they’re used in crafting and cooking recipes found in this region. They’re not to be confused with Natlan’s local specialties (such as Quenepa Berries) as Embercore Flowers aren’t used for character ascension.

The best reason to collect Embercore Flowers is to obtain the Natlan weapon blueprints needed to unlock a forgeable four-star claymore and four-star polearm. You can get them from a blacksmith named Alom, who’s stationed in the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Alom asks 10 Embercore Flowers for each weapon blueprint in addition to 10 other Natlan-based materials and 10 Condessence Crystals.

Where to find Embercore Flowers

While exploring Natlan, you can recognize the Embercore Flowers as large red flower buds. Beware that the flower’s core can’t be collected until you’ve opened the flower. To do so, hit the bud with any attack (basic attack is easiest). You can now pluck the Embercore Flower material from the bloom.

Genshin Impact’s in-game location description for Embercore Flowers, which reads “found in the wild,” isn’t very useful. Although Embercore Flowers appear in every part of Natlan, they tend to grow on the slightly more arid parts of the map, such as the lava cave in Toyac Springs, Coatepec Mountain, and around the Sulfurous Veins.

Since Embercore Flowers are categorized as “materials” rather than “local specialties,” the tracking mechanic introduced in Genshin Impact 5.0 (showing a local specialty’s rough location on the map) doesn’t work on them. If you need a detailed Embercore Flower location guide, take a look at our farming route below.

Best Embercore Flowers farming route

It’ll take a lot of time to search every corner of Natlan on your own, but this Embercore Flower farming route will get you a total of 28 Embercore Flowers in no time. The route will start in the Sulferous Veins, move through the Basin of Unnumbered Flames, hit Teticpac Peak, and end in a Toyac Springs cave.

The first part of the farming route yields 12 Embercore Flowers. Starting from the teleport waypoint northwest of the Sulfurous Veins, glide to the southeast and look for the first Embercore Flower on the ground below you, next to some bushes.

Teleport to the northernmost teleport waypoint (directly north of the Sulfurous Veins) and walk northeast to find one Embercore Flower in front of a small bush. Run to the southwest and you’ll see another Embercore Flower on the plains ahead of you. Drop down the ledge in the south for a third flower.

Teleport to the middle of the Sulfurous Veins and glide to the rectangular cliff in the east. On top of this cliff, you’ll find five Embercore Flowers, making this one of the most important farming spots. Carefully glide down the cliff to the southeast to find the next Embercore Flower at the bottom (underneath the wooden platforms attached to the mountainside), and run south along the river to find two more flowers; one just behind the enemy camp and the other just in front of the large waterfall.

This part of Natlan’s map is good for 11 Embercore Flowers in total. Fast-travel to the teleport waypoint north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame and glide to the lower ledge in the southwest to grab the first one.

Go to the Statue of the Seven in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames and grab one Embercore Flower south of the statue (very close) before crossing the river in the southeast and collecting a second flower there, next to the waterfall.

Fast-travel to the northernmost waypoint on Teticpac Peak and make your way northeast to the large wooden building (shown in the picture). There are three Embercore Flowers in front of this building; grab them and glide down the cliff, then find a fourth flower at the foot of the mountain below.

Starting from the same teleport waypoint on Teticpac Peak, run south to collect two nearby Embercore Flowers. Go in a straight line west, past the small crater, to find another flower on the other side. Glide to the southwest and look for the small tunnel on the main road below you; there’s a flower on the left side of this tunnel (southeast side), next to a tree.

To reach the final batch of Embercore Flowers, you must do the first part of the Tracer No Tracing world quest. Fast-travel to the Statue of the Seven in Toyac Springs and drop down the ruins in the southeast (see picture). Follow the tunnels until you meet an NPC, which will start the quest and unlock the lower level of the cave system. Follow the main “path” along the lava river as displayed on your minimap, and you’ll find five Embercore Flowers here.
