Becoming a wanted criminal is a popular trope in media. You always have to sleep with one eye open and sneak around while on the lam. In Star Wars Outlaws, Kay can become Wanted too, provided she commits obvious crimes in front of Empire officials. Fortunately, there are a few ways to turn down the heat.
How to lower your Wanted level in Star Wars Outlaws
There are several ways to lower your Wanted level in the game:
- Lay low for a while (under Wanted level 6 only)
- Hack Imperial Terminals
- Bribe corrupt officers
- Tamper with the Imperial Terminal Satellite
- Defeat the Death Trooper camp (Wanted level 6 only)
Whenever you commit a crime in front of an Empire official – agents, Stormtroopers, Tie Fighters, etc – your Wanted level will rise.
Lay low
The easiest way to lower your Wanted level is to simply wait it out. Obviously, this is the least time-efficient method to do it, however. You have to stay out of sight of Empire officials and Stormtroopers while the Imperial logo icon in the upper-left corner times out. Meanwhile, you can try sneaking around without raising suspicion. This method won’t work if you’re at max Wanted level though.

Hack Imperial Terminals
There are Imperial Terminals located on most planets within camps and fortresses. You can usually find them marked on your map as well, often near large settlements. Once there, you can break into their facility, find the terminal and play the slice the terminal to remove your Wanted levels.

Bribe corrupt officers
You can find Corrupt Imperial Officers in most major cities in the game. They will also be marked as such on the map, so you can easily find where to go. Approach them and offer a bribe in credits to lower your Wanted level. This is by far the easiest way to do it, though it’s also the least cost-effective.
Imperial Terminal Satellite
If you’re flying around in space, you can sometimes find Imperial Terminal Satellites orbiting a planet. They look like space radar dishes with a glowing tube structure sticking out. As long as you’re not fighting anyone, you can approach the terminal and lower your Wanted level by holding down the ‘interact’ key.
Death Trooper camp
If you somehow end up at Wanted level 6, a Death Trooper camp will spawn on the map. They will be on the lookout for you and are some of the tougher enemy troops to fight. Among them is an ISB agent as well. If you kill the agent, you can loot their keycard and use it on a terminal in their camp, completely clearing your Wanted level. Despite being the toughest method to lower your high infamy, this is also the most lucrative, due to all the loot you can get in their camp.
What is Wanted status in Star Wars Outlaws?
The Wanted level represents your infamy in the eyes of the Empire, who is still the law on the Outer Rim (for all intents and purposes). Whenever you commit a crime in front of an Empire official – agents, Stormtroopers, Tie Fighters, etc – your Wanted level will rise.
Over time, they will begin setting up checkpoints and barricades to find and identify Kay. All personnel will get the order to arrest or shoot you on sight. This will largely reduce your ability to move around and operate, so it’s a good idea to lower the level as soon as possible.
The maximum Wanted level you can reach is level 6. At that point, Death Trooper camps will start spawning and a manhunt on Kay will be sounded. Every Imperial you meet will have “shoot on sight” orders, so you’ll have to be very careful.
