In many aspects, Star Wars Outlaws is a cinematic game filled with cutscenes and dialogues between explorations, heists, and other activities. The game’s options make the game feel like you’re playing a movie, even down to the cinematic display ratio option. However, sometimes you just want to get on with the gameplay and breeze through all the exposition.

How to cancel cutscenes in Star Wars Outlaws

You can easily skip through any cutscenes in Star Wars Outlaws by pressing the F key on the keyboard on PC, holding down X on the Xbox controller, or the square on the PS5 controller. This will cancel the cutscene and cut any non-interactive dialogue. By doing that, you will be able to get back into the action without having to wait.

However, we don’t recommend skipping most cutscenes, as they will often divulge important information. You can learn about the world and your character, but more importantly, you’ll find out important details about your missions, possible clues to make tasks easier, and other useful tidbits.

If you still want to skip any cutscene though, it’s good to know that you can do so at the press of a button. You may not be interested in a particular dialogue or find it dragging on, skipping it is a simple way to get back into the actual gameplay portion of Star Wars Outlaws.

Is there an option in settings to skip cutscenes?

Unfortunately, there is no way to set up automatic cutscene skips in the game’s Settings. You will have to cut through any cutscenes manually using the abovementioned method. Otherwise, you may miss some beats that you didn’t want to skip, so doing it manually is the safer method.
