Star Wars Outlaws is taking the players on a journey through the galaxy far, far away. Set at a precarious time in the storyline, the game focuses on the story of the world around it and people who live in it, rather than on the grand-scale picture. Jedi are a prominent part of that image, so are they a part of the game as well? We’ll explore the question of can you play as one or will you encounter any of them in Star Wars Outlaws.

Can you be a Jedi in Star Wars Outlaws?

No, you can’t be a Jedi in Star Wars Outlaws. Kay, our protagonist in this game, is just a regular human, living day to day as a petty criminal at the start of the game. A whirlwind of circumstances on her home planet of Cantonica takes her on a journey of exploration between other planets on the Outer Rim.

The game is set at a perilous time when there aren’t many Jedi around in the galaxy.

She will be able to build her own crew, set up and execute heists, and work with memorable crime syndicates. Meanwhile, she has no Force powers of anything of that nature – just her tools, wits, and skills. And Nix, we can’t forget about Nix. In many ways, she’s closer to Han Solo than to Luke Skywalker.

As stated by the creative director of the game, the Jedi didn’t even enter the picture while working on the game. This lends credence that disproves any theories about hidden Force abilities or anything similar when it comes to Kay and those around her.

Can you find Jedi in Star Wars Outlaws?

No, you won’t find any Jedi along your journeys in Star Wars Outlaws. The game is set at a perilous time when there aren’t many Jedi around in the galaxy. Most characters you encounter and interact with will be criminals and shady types, as well as Imperial soldiers and personnel. Other than them, other characters are mostly civilians like regular folk, shopkeepers, labourers, etc.

The game’s story is very much grounded on the level of common people. Though grand on a personal level, it isn’t really grand at a galactic scale, despite taking you to places like Tatooine where you can interact with characters like Jabba the Hutt.
