Playing the part of a space-faring rogue in Star Wars Outlaws comes with a healthy dose of planet-hopping in the galaxy far, far away. With so many planets on the Outer Rim, not all could be included in the game. Instead, the ones with the most prominent criminal underbelly play a pivotal part in the game’s adventures. We’ll count them all in our brief overview.
How many planets are in Star Wars Outlaws?
There are 5 planets (Well, technically speaking, one is a moon) you can land on and explore in Star Wars Outaws. These are:
- Cantonica
- Tatooine
- Toshara
- Akiva
- Kijimi
Each comes with its key locations and distinct look and feel. Every planet is home to one or more crime syndicates, as well as a host of assignments your character can take on.

Cantonica
Outwardly, Cantonica is a mountainous and rocky planet that wouldn’t catch anyone’s eye, were it not for its main attraction – Canto Bight. The main location of the planet is a haven for wealthy criminals who love to gamble at the location’s many casinos. It’s the first planet you land on in Outlaws, so take time to get to know the surroundings and make use of the Speeder.
The main baddie of the game, Sliro, makes his home in Canto Bight as well, along with his Zerek Besh goons. There are also other syndicate agents around the place, as well as other criminals seeking leisure. The planet is also home to fathier races, where you can earn a few extra credits by betting.

Tatooine
Tatooine needs no introduction to anyone familiar with the Star Wars franchise. It is the home of Luke Skywalker, after all, as well as the main setting for much of the action in the universe. And they call it a backwater planet? Anyway, for those uninitiated, Tatooine is a desert planet with a multitude of well-known locations, including the iconic Mos Eisley where you can mingle with the locals at the famous cantina and play a round of sabacc.
The planet is also home to Jabba the Hutt, head of the Hutt Cartel, and Kay – our protagonist – will have a chance to meet the big slug. You can also find other popular creatures, like Jawas, Tusken Raiders, and even a Krayt Dragon if you’re unfortunate enough.

Toshara
Unlike other planets in the game, Toshara is an original creation and technically only a moon, rather than a full-fledged planet, that we get to see for the first time in Star Wars Outlaws. It is the first place Kay ends up in after the game’s prologue.
The planet itself is covered in savannas and looks fairly lush for a moon. The main city on the planet is Mirogana, and there’s even a strong Empire presence that you’ll have to be wary of. Besides them, both Pykes and Crimson Dawn can be found and interacted with.
Akiva
Akiva is a planet covered in jungles, lakes, and wetlands, making the terrain hard to traverse. There’s a variety of animals that you can encounter, including a few dangerous predators. Outside of the planet’s atmosphere is the orbiting Achra Station, where you can interact with characters and lower your notoriety levels.
Myrra is the main settlement of the planet and old droid factories are dotted around the landscape. You can break into them to scavenge for parts or items to sell, making the planet a lucrative option – as long as you don’t interfere with Hutts and Pykes who control some of these territories.

Kijimi
The cold, mountainous planet of Kijimi is home to the Ashiga Clan, one of the most notorious syndicates around. The planet has rampant criminal activity, despite Kijima City looking like a serene temple. Besides the main syndicate, you can also run into a lot of Crimson Dawn activity, who seem to be working to undermine the planet’s prime criminal operation.
Despite its serene setting, Kijimi is home to rampant criminal activity
The planet itself is cold and snowy, with its main hub hiding some of the most prized artefacts in the galaxy. This could be a good opportunity for Kay to relieve them from their current owners. Besides those opportunities, Kijima City provides a beautiful backdrop to interact with various other characters, including thieves, smugglers, and more.
