As you explore the early part of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll find items like Mind Cores. Upon reading their description, you’ll find that they allow you to craft Celestial Medicines. However, it is unclear how you craft Celestial Medicines immediately. We’ll teach you how to get and unlock Celestial Medicines in Black Myth Wukong to ease your mind.

How to craft Celestial Medicines

To craft Celestial Medicines as the inventory implies, you must proceed to Chapter 2. In Chapter 2, you will meet a few NPCS, one of which is the wolf NPC found in the Village cave area. Speak to him, then kill the yellow frog boss by the water. This will grant you a recipe that you can take to the wolf man. From there, he will say he is off to find a brazier and disappear.

That brazier is underneath the Crouching Tiger Temple. The temple is an area that you will naturally come across after progressing through the village as part of the main storyline. Complete the main storyline through evillage then into the Temple. After that, you’ll have a more mob-dense area to explore called Windrest. After beating Windrest, and a few bosses along the way, you can stumble upon a large desert sandpit area.  Here, you’ll need to beat a boss called the Stone Vangaurd. Defeating the boss drops you a key item called the Sterness of Stone. This item can be used to open the large gate in the villager where you battled the main boss. It can also be used on a pedestal at the top of the Crouching Tiger Temple. It doesn’t matter which way you go.

Once you have the Sterness of Stone, you’ll unlock a new area in the game. This area you’ll come across the base of the temple, no matter which entry method you choose. At the back of the cave at the bottom of the temple, you’ll find a brazier, approach it, and the world should appear from behind a barrel.

You can now speak to the wolf NPC, who becomes a crafter for you for making medicines. It shall allow you to craft Celestial Medicine using your Mind Cores acquired from bosses and quests. Depending on what you want to upgrade, you will need 1-3 Mind Cores for each upgrade, depending on what you get.

Celestial Medicine Locations

Note that you can find Celestial Medicines by exploring the world too. They are often found inside chests in the areas that you loot. In Chapters 2 and 3, you can find quite a lot of explorable areas that you don’t necessarily need to visit, which often contain more chances of finding these items. Here are some examples of places you can visit to get more celestial medicines for free. You’ll also find a few in the main story linear areas of each chapter too, such as the following:

  • Celestial Taiyi Pill – Found in a chest by a ledge in the wooden pagoda. Go through the cave after beating White Claw Noble boss, then go down the large wooden structure to loot the chest it is contained in.
  • Celestial Nonary Pill –  Inside chest as you make your way up the Black Wind Mountain. Guarded by fire archer wolves. You can go to Bodhi Peak and go slightly down the hill to get the chest.
  • Celestial Nonary Pill 2 – Enter the Valley of Despair cave in Chapter 2. Enter the shimmy spot, then smash the barricade down. Leads to a missable area. Kill the bat enemies inside and then loot the chest at the back of the room.
  • Celestial Jade Lotus Pill – Inside the Crouching Tiger Temple. You need the Sterness of Stone to unlock it.

With that said, you now have a better idea of how to get your hands on Celestial Medicines in Black Myth Wukong. Hopefully, this guide gives you a better idea of what Mind Cores are used for, how to unlock Celestial Medicines, and where to find them naturally. You’ll want to use these Medicines to improve your character. As some of the bosses do gets hard. It’s also handy for any build you like doing, such as increasing mana consistently to get an extra spell cast through long and tough boss battles.
