The G-123 Thermite Grenade is worth trying but there are better grenades in the game. Because of the grenade’s long fuse timer, it can be difficult to hit enemies with it unless you manage to stick the grenade directly to an enemy. It is much easier to stick this grenade to larger foes such as Scout Striders or Bile Titans.
Overall, the G-123 Thermite Grenade is decent and can be used to do some good damage to smaller groups of enemies if you manage to stick it to one of them. It is also useful for closing bug holes and fabricators. Unfortunately, it is not the best grenade there is and you can see where we place it on our Helldivers 2 throwable weapons tier list.
How to get the G-123 Thermite Grenade
The G-123 Thermite Grenade is obtained by purchasing it from the Democratic Detonation Warbond. Since this is one of the premium Warbonds, you will need to spend 1,000 Super Credits to unlock it. Once you have done this and unlocked the Warbond, you will find the Thermite Grenade on the first page. You can purchase the grenade for 15 medals. Considering the cost of most of the items in the Warbond, this is a relatively cheaper item to purchase.
How to use the G-123 Thermite Grenade
The best use of the Thermite Grenade is closing bug holes and fabricators. Thanks to its long fuse time, the grenade has a difficult time damaging a lot of enemies. The impact grenades are better at hitting a lot of foes at once. Instead, focus on using the Thermite Grenade on larger enemies that you can easily stick the grenade to or enemy spawn locations. Both of these are the best use for the grenade.
