How to download Fortnite on iOS devices

Here’s how to download Fortnite on iOS:

Head to fortnite.com/download to download the Epic Games Store onto your device
You’ll get a notification saying your device isn’t set up to allow marketplaces by Epic Games. Open your Settings, and near the top, tap the banner marked ‘Allow Marketplace from Epic Games’, and then press ‘Allow’
Re-open your browser and return to the previous window. Press ‘Install’, then ‘Install App Marketplace’, and finally ‘Continue’
Wait for the Epic Games Store to install, then open the app
Select the Fortnite app, hit ‘Install’ and wait for it to do so, and then enjoy playing!

How to get Fortnite on iOS outside the EU

Unfortunately, because of a little spat between Epic Games and Apple, Fortnite is currently only available to download on iOS in the EU. Fortnite is currently blocked on iOS in all other regions, and will remain so until Epic Games can come to an agreement with regulators. This means that players in the USA, Canada, Australia and anywhere else around the world will be unable to get the game legally.

There are technically some workarounds that can be used to get Fortnite on iOS in these regions, however these go against Epic Games terms of service and could result in account bans. As such, we do not recommend using these methods at all.

How to download Fortnite on Android devices

To download Fortnite on an Android device, simply follow these steps:

Head to fortnite.com/download to download the Epic Games Store onto your device
You may get a notification saying your phone ‘cannot install unknown apps from this source’. Press ‘Settings’, and then toggle ‘Allow from this source’ on
When you receive a notification asking if you want to install the Epic Games Store, select ‘Install’
Once installed, open the app
Select the Fortnite app, select ‘Install’ and wait for it to download, and then enjoy your game!
