What to expect from Black Myth: Wukong
Our review called Black Myth: Wukong an “astounding triumph… that blends a story celebrating Chinese and other East Asian cultures with an original retelling that has resonant themes, all complemented by spectacular design and exhilarating combat.” Over the course of the game, you’ll explore a series of environments from jungles to caverns to snowy mountaintops. And you’ll do it while battling a vast array of yaoguai (demons) — including 80 bosses.
While the gameplay and progression from region to region is pretty linear, there’s still room for experimentation in your skill tree and fighting style. And you’ll even be backtracking and revisiting previous areas while you complete side quests and find secrets.
