As you explore crumbling settlements and zombie-infested industrial relics, you’ll amass a mighty haul of Deviations, the little critters that you can put to work in your base thanks to their unique abilities. For better or for worse, you’ll typically pick up quite a few duplicates, especially of the more obtainable early-game variants.
They’ll quickly clutter up your inventory and max out your Territory’s Isolated Containment Unit cap. In most cases, you’ll only ever need one or two of each to meet your needs. What to do with duplicate Deviants
The best thing you can do with duplicate Deviants is to sell them at the Eternaland shop in exchange for Astral Sand. Eternaland is a permanent world separate from the main open-world that persists through wipes. Astral Sand is that world’s currency, allowing you to buy various items for your permanent base there.

How to sell Deviants
To reach the Eternaland Shop, tap Esc, click on the island icon in the top right, then on Manage Resources just below. You’ll be taken to the Island Shop. Tap the Sell tab, then scroll down and click on the Deviant you want to sell. You’ll then see how much Astral Sand you’ll get for the sale. Tap F to confirm.
You can repeat this for all the Deviations you want to get rid of, though it’s worth combing through their stats, especially Skill Rating and Activity Rating, to ensure you’re keeping the best ones. Keep an eye on Deviation Traits as well. Aim to offload those with negative traits like Worn-Out, Feeling Blue, and Snooze Aficionado, as they’ll hamper the Deviants abilities to gather resources and protect your base.
How to discard Deviants
You can also simply discard your surplus Deviants, but you won’t get anything in return, so it’s best to pop into the Eternaland Shop. To discard a Deviant, tap i to open up your inventory, hover over a Deviant, and hold X to Discard it.
How to trade Deviants
Lastly, you can also use Deviants as currency in trades with other meta-human players. Most servers have a thriving bartering system. There’s no dedicated menu or mechanic and it’s all mainly organised from the main chat. You’ll often see players advertising what they have for sale.
To complete a trade, arrange to meet up with a player, discard the Deviant as above, and they can pick it up from the ground and put it in their inventory. Make sure to get your due wares in exchange though. No one likes getting fleeced.
