A new season is upon us, and a new set of rookies is ready to take the league by storm. But, like any draft class, some are markedly better than others, so you may be wondering what the best rookie ratings are in Madden 25. Don’t worry; we’re here to answer that question for you.
Although the best QB ratings are arguably the most important feature to note when starting a new Franchise mode save, having a rookie with All-Pro potential on your roster is a boon for any team. That’s why organizations often trade the farm for rare prospects like Caleb Williams or Marvin Harrison Jr. So, without further ado, here are the best-rated rookies in the game, some of whom you may want to target in early-season trades.

Unsurprisingly, Marvin Harrison Jr. sits atop the list, as the former Ohio State wide receiver had often been touted as the most pro-ready prospect heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. And following Hollywood Brown’s departure to the Chiefs this past offseason, Harrison Jr. is the de facto WR1 heading into the new season, so a rating increase could potentially be in the ‘cards’ if he lives up to the hype.
Joe Alt, arguably the best offensive tackle in the same draft, sits right beside MHJ with a 79 rating, giving star QB Justin Herbert a reliable strong-side protector alongside Rashawn Slater. Brock Bowers, who surprisingly landed with the Raiders, is in joint third at 78, with Vikings LB Dallas Turner, Jets OT Olu Fashanu, Bengals OT Amarius Mims, and Titans OT JC Latham.
Next, two 77-rated rookies that immediately stand out are the Giants’ WR Malik Nabers and Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks. Brooks, alongside 76-rated Cardinals RB Trey Benson, are the only two running backs to make the top twenty. Meanwhile, the only three wide receivers are Nabers, MHJ, and the Bears’ 76-rated WR, Rome Odunze.
The gap between QB prospects is even more glaring, as the number one pick and 76-rated QB Caleb Williams is the lone quarterback in the top 20. The next best-rated QBs are the Patriots’ Drake Maye and the Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, both at 74 overall.
