If you want to try out Madden NFL 25 before buying the full game, you’re in luck because with EA Play, you’ll have access to a 10-hour free trial. Yes, that means you can try out EA’s latest release on the PlayStation, Xbox, or PC as long as you’re subscribed to EA Play. And, if you eventually decide to purchase the game, your progress from the trial will carry over, so you won’t have to restart the grind.
Of course, if you’re having trouble accessing the free trial, there’s no need to worry; we’ve covered what you need to do below so you can start the grind as early as possible. Before we jump in, though, why not check out our pages on how to add friends and play multiplayer online, and all game modes in Madden 25? This way, you know what to expect beforehand.

Again, you will need an active EA Play subscription to access the free trial on the platform of your choice. However, if you’re an existing Game Pass member, you’ll be able to download it on Xbox without EA Play (although you can get a 10% discount on the full game if you do).
That covers all you need to know about downloading and playing the Madden NFL 25 free trial. For more, check out our Madden 25 promo list, so you know what to expect before jumping back into Ultimate Team.
