Madden 25 is here and brings along with it the 32 titans of the NFL for you and your friends to play across all sorts of different game modes. But just like in real life, some teams are pretty dominant in this year’s game, while a few others don’t look like they’ll be challenging for the Super Bowl any time soon.
So if you’re interested in who the very best teams in Madden 25 are, we’ve put together the top 10 teams in this year’s game ranked by their overall rating, and there are some surprising inclusions. With that, let’s take a look.

Even non-NFL fans could probably have predicted the Chiefs to top the rankings in Madden 25 following their Super Bowl win earlier this year, with two of the best players in the game on their roster – Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
It’s also no surprise to see the runners-up, the 49ers, coming in joint-top, also having a rating of 92. This is in thanks to having their own star players in Trent Williams and cover star Christian McCaffrey.
But all of these teams have huge amounts of talent. The Eagles might not have anyone quite on the level of Mahomes and McCaffrey, but Lane Johnson, Saquan Barkley and AJ Brown all come in with ratings above 90, helping them to a very respectable 87.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we’ve got teams like the lowly Arizona Cardinals, whose 71 rating makes them one of the best teams to rebuild in Franchise mode, but if you were hoping to challenge for a title with them straight away, you’ve got a mighty challenge on your hands.
