Objective

Pinnit is a two-player abstract strategy game where the goal is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them from making any legal moves.

Setup

The game is played on a 5x5 grid. Each player has 12 pieces, which are placed on the board at the start of the game. The pieces are placed in the two rows closest to each player.

Gameplay

Players take turns moving one of their pieces. Pieces can move one space in any direction, including diagonally. If a piece lands on a space occupied by an opponent's piece, it captures that piece and removes it from the board.

Special Moves

There are two special moves in Pinnit:

* Pin: If a piece moves to a space adjacent to an opponent's piece, it pins that piece. A pinned piece cannot move until the pinning piece is removed.

* Jump: If a piece moves to a space that is two spaces away from an opponent's piece, it jumps over that piece and captures it.

Winning

The game ends when one player captures all of their opponent's pieces or blocks them from making any legal moves.

Strategy

Pinnit is a game of strategy and tactics. There are many different ways to win, but some general tips include:

* Control the center of the board.

* Pin your opponent's pieces whenever possible.

* Use jumps to capture multiple pieces at once.

* Block your opponent's moves by placing your pieces in key positions.

Variations

There are many variations of Pinnit, including:

* Larger boards: The game can be played on larger boards, such as 7x7 or 9x9.

* Different piece shapes: The pieces can be different shapes, such as squares, triangles, or hexagons.

* Additional rules: Some variations of Pinnit include additional rules, such as the ability to move pieces backwards or the ability to capture multiple pieces with a single move.
