Objective:

Thanks is a cooperative card game where players work together to create a gratitude list by playing cards with different gratitude prompts. The goal is to complete the list before the gratitude deck runs out.

Setup:

* Shuffle the gratitude deck and place it face down.

* Deal 10 cards to each player.

* Place the remaining cards in a pile face down in the center of the table.

Gameplay:

On their turn, a player takes the following actions:

* Draw a Card: Draw a card from the gratitude deck.

* Play a Card: Play a card from their hand to add a gratitude item to the gratitude list. The gratitude item must be something specific and personal to the player.

* Discard a Card: If a player cannot play a card, they discard it face up on the discard pile.

* End Turn: The player ends their turn and passes the deck to the next player.

Special Cards:

The gratitude deck contains special cards that provide unique abilities:

* Double Draw: Allows a player to draw two cards instead of one.

* Swap Hands: Allows a player to swap hands with another player.

* Gratitude Swap: Allows a player to swap a gratitude item on the gratitude list with a gratitude item from their hand.

* Skip Turn: Forces the next player to skip their turn.

Winning:

Players win the game if they complete the gratitude list before the gratitude deck runs out.

Losing:

Players lose the game if the gratitude deck runs out before they complete the gratitude list.

Tips:

* Be specific and personal when choosing gratitude items.

* Pay attention to the special cards and use them strategically.

* Communicate with your fellow players to coordinate your efforts.

* Don't be afraid to discard cards that you can't play.

* Remember that the goal is to create a meaningful and heartfelt gratitude list, not to win the game.
