Gujarat Samachar, a traditional Indian card game, has captivated players for generations with its engaging gameplay and strategic nuances. Originating in the western Indian state of Gujarat, the game is played with a deck of 52 cards and can accommodate 2 to 4 players.

Objective of the Game

The primary goal of Gujarat Samachar is to form "books" by collecting sets of four cards of the same rank. The player with the most books at the end of the game emerges victorious.

Gameplay

The game commences with each player being dealt 13 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in the center of the table to form the draw pile. The player to the left of the dealer begins the game by drawing a card from either the draw pile or the top card of the discard pile.

If the player can form a book with the drawn card, they declare it and place it face up on the table. They then draw another card to replace the one they used to complete the book. This process continues until a player has exhausted all the cards in their hand.

Discarding and Drawing

After drawing a card, if the player cannot form a book, they must discard one card from their hand face up on the discard pile. The next player then takes their turn, following the same rules.

Ending the Game

The game ends when all the cards in the draw pile have been depleted and no player can make any more books. The player with the most books wins the game.
