AmmanCart is a strategic, turn-based card game centered around managing resources and building a thriving trade network in the ancient city of Amman. Players take on the roles of merchants vying for dominance by establishing trade routes, acquiring valuable goods, and fulfilling contracts to earn victory points. The core gameplay revolves around drafting cards representing different aspects of the city's economy: resource production (like wheat, olives, and pottery), trade opportunities (caravan routes to neighboring cities), and influential figures (merchants guilds, city officials). Each turn, players strategically play cards to generate resources, acquire goods from the market, negotiate trade agreements, and hinder opponents' progress. The game incorporates elements of engine-building, as players aim to create efficient production chains and optimize their resource management. Successfully completing contracts, which require specific combinations of goods, is a primary source of victory points. Players must carefully balance their investments in resource production, trade routes, and contract fulfillment while also anticipating and reacting to their opponents' actions. Strategic card drafting, resource management, and a degree of tactical blocking are crucial for success in AmmanCart. The player who accumulates the most victory points by the end of the game wins and is crowned the most successful merchant in Amman.
