Overview

Jaipur is a two-player card game that simulates the trading of goods in the bustling markets of Jaipur, India. Players take on the roles of wealthy merchants seeking to amass the most valuable collection of goods and earn the favor of the Maharaja.

Gameplay

The game is played over a series of rounds. In each round, players simultaneously select two cards from their hands and reveal them. The player with the higher-valued card gains the corresponding goods from the market. If both players have the same value, they each receive one good.

The goods available in the market include:

* Silver: Used to purchase camels

* Cloth: Used to purchase silver

* Spices: Used to sell for rupees

* Leather: Used to sell for rupees

* Gold: A rare and valuable commodity

Camels

Camels are used to transport goods. The player with the most camels at the end of the round receives a bonus. Additionally, camels can be traded for goods at a rate of 2 camels for 1 good.

Rupees

Rupees are the currency of Jaipur. They can be used to purchase goods or to bribe the Maharaja. The player with the most rupees at the end of the game receives a bonus.

The Maharaja

The Maharaja can be bribed with goods or rupees. Bribing the Maharaja grants the player a special bonus, such as drawing an extra card or exchanging goods with the market.

Winning the Game

The game ends when either player has collected all five of one type of good or has accumulated 50 or more rupees. The player with the most valuable collection of goods and the most rupees wins the game.

Strategy

Jaipur is a game of strategy and negotiation. Players must carefully consider which cards to select and which goods to trade in order to maximize their profits. Bribing the Maharaja can also be a valuable tactic to gain an advantage.
