Introduction

Beehive is a classic abstract strategy board game for two players, played on a hexagonal grid. The goal of the game is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or to block them from making any legal moves.

Setup

The game is played on a hexagonal grid of 19x19 cells. Each player starts with 12 pieces, which are placed on the grid in any arrangement. The pieces can be placed on any cell, except for the center cell.

Gameplay

Players take turns moving one of their pieces. A piece can move one space in any of the six hexagonal directions. A piece can also capture an opponent's piece by jumping over it and landing in the empty cell behind it.

Capturing

A piece can only capture an opponent's piece if it is adjacent to it and if there is an empty cell behind the opponent's piece. A piece cannot capture an opponent's piece that is protected by another piece.

Winning

The game ends when one player has captured all of their opponent's pieces or when one player has blocked their opponent from making any legal moves. The player who captures all of their opponent's pieces wins the game.

Strategy

Beehive is a game of strategy and tactics. There are many different strategies that can be used to win the game. Some common strategies include:

* Mini Hive - The game is played on a hexagonal grid of 7x7 cells.

* Hive Carbon - The game is played on a hexagonal grid of 19x19 cells, but with the addition of carbon pieces that can be used to block your opponent's pieces.
