Techland announced "The Desolate Light: The Sleeping Beast" during the opening night live event of Cologne. Players with the ultimate version of "The Disappearing Beast" can be obtained for free. Players without the Ultimate version will have to spend $39.99 to purchase, but later Techland canceled the $39.99 pricing and has not announced a new pricing yet.

Players with the ultimate version of "Defying Light 2: Staying Human" can get "Defying Light: Sleeping Beast" for free, while players without the Ultimate version will price $39.99, but Techland later canceled this price and no new pricing has been announced yet.
