The last line of defence for any football team is the goalkeeper, and a bad keeper letting in a couple of clutch goals could be the difference between you winning the league and settling for second place. That’s why it’s so important to get a goalie you can trust to keep the ball out of the net and ping passes forward for your outfield players.
That’s why we’ve put together a list of the top 10 best young goalkeepers in FC 25. These young shot-stoppers aren’t by any means world-class, but each of them has the potential to become an incredibly solid player, while the top few will become among the best keepers in each save after only a few seasons.

Best young GKs in FC 25
Here are the top 10 best young GKs in FC 25 ranked by their potential rating from highest to lowest:
Player | Age | Club | OVR | POT |
---|---|---|---|---|
Guillaume Restes | 19 | Toulouse FC | 78 | 88 |
Filip Jorgensen | 22 | Chelsea | 77 | 86 |
Anatoliy Trubin | 22 | Benfica | 78 | 86 |
Julen Agirrezabala | 23 | Athletic Bilbao | 77 | 85 |
Dennis Seimen | 18 | VfB Stuttgart | 63 | 84 |
James Trafford | 21 | Burnley | 73 | 84 |
Bart Verbruggen | 21 | Brighton | 76 | 84 |
Jonas Urbig | 20 | FC Köln | 73 | 84 |
Ewen Jaouen | 18 | USL Dunkerque | 66 | 82 |
Diego Callai | 19 | Sporting CP | 69 | 82 |
Toulouse’s main man between the sticks, Guillaume Restes, has been tipped for great things, and with an 88 potential rating in FC 25, he should be your number one target if you’re after a young new keeper as he’s destined to be one of the best players in the game. That being said, if you go for Filip Jorgensen, Anatoliy Trubin or Julen Agirrezabala, you’re not exactly going to be missing out by too much.
On the cheaper end of the scale, Stuttgart’s Dennis Seimen should be your first choice. With a rating of only 63, he’s incredibly cheap in comparison to much of this list, but with an 84 potential rating, he’ll grown into a very solid keeper. The same can be said for Reims keeper Ewen Jaouen and Sporting CP’s own Diego Callai, but we would say these options aren’t as good.
