The Goron homeland isn’t safe from the rifts plaguing Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and you’ll need to venture into Stilled Goron City to set things right. After revisiting Hyrule Castle, you can choose to head toward the Eldin Volcano to the northwest. After climbing the volcano, you’ll arrive in Goron City — and will be greeted with another large rift, and news of Tri’s missing friends.

Read ahead for our Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom guide to making your way through Stilled Goron City in the rift on Eldin Volcano and returning Goron City to normal by finding all of Tri’s friends.

Where to find Tri’s friends in Stilled Goron City

When Zelda lands at the bottom of the rift, she’s greeted again with Tri’s thoughts: “I can sense my friends here… They’re trapped. If we rescue them, we can fix this rift.” There are four of Tri’s friends to rescue around Stilled Goron City.

Make your way around to the starting island and climb into the top of the large Goron-shaped vase, which has a ladder poking out. Once inside, use bombfish echoes to clear a path through the cracked bricks, avoid the purple rift monsters, and reach the first of Tri’s friends at the bottom.

Climb out, then use crow echoes to defeat the Zirros — and avoid their bombs in the process. (Note: This is a great time to pick up a Zirro Echo if you haven’t already.) Cross the broken fence to the platform to your left, and use the climbing wall to descend to another step stone path. Defeat the monster there and collect the second of Tri’s friends.

Climb back up to the previous platform, and you’ll notice another chunk of climbable wall. Scale that, avoid the bombs hurled by the zirro, and scale the wall to reach to the top of an outcropping. Use water blocks to move between the platforms you can’t jump until you’ve reached the platform at the top left. Grab the third friend of Tri – only one left!

Summon a crow echo, and use it to drift down to the platform to your right, where Zelda will find the fourth and final friend of Tri. Upon completion, Tri will transport Zelda back to Goron City — and troupe of happy Gorons. Next up: Eldin Temple.
