Beautiful Lake Hylia has been consumed by shadowy rifts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Zelda must travel into Stilled Lake Hylia to return it to normal.
After you free Minister Lefte from the rift in Suthorn Ruins, you’ll meet Lueberry and get the choice between heading to the Gerudo Desert or the Jabul Waters as part of the “Searching for Everyone” main quest. On your way to Seesyde Village to the northeast, you’ll pass by an optional rift at Stilled Lake Hylia.
You’ll need to rescue three of Tri’s friends to restore Lake Hylia. Read ahead for our guide on where to find them inside Stilled Lake Hylia.
Where to find Tri’s friends in Stilled Lake Hylia
Stilled Lake Hylia consists of a lot of platforming via swimming, as you’ll have to move between self-contained cubes of water floating in the air.
When you first arrive, start heading left through the water platforms, stopping short of the platform that’s a pool of shadow piranha. We used octoroks from a distance combined with Swordfighter form in melee range to clear them out. When they’re dealt with, swim to the bottom to grab the first of Tri’s friends.
Once collected, head north to the longer water platform, then take the first right available. Dive under the rocks then swim up to reach a higher-level platform.
Once you hop to dry land, you’ll see a platform that’s too high for Zelda to reach. Plus there’s a moblin chucking spears from a platform to your right that will thwart any attempts to climb up before its defeated. Use Bind to snag the moblin and drop it off the platform, then use trampolines, boxes, and beds to reach the water platform up and to the right.
You’ll see a boulder blocking something in the wall beneath the water. Use Bind to pull the boulder out of the way. You’ll find the second of Tri’s friends behind the rock.
Return to the long, vertical strip of water, and swim up until you can take a left. You’ll be in a large water area. Swim all the way to the rock wall at the top, and follow it left until you see a group of four trees. Zelda can swim under that island to an isolated corner, and another boulder to move. Use Bind to pull the boulder away, dragging it back under the secret entrance. Voila! It’s the third Tri friend. Tri will then be able to heal the rift in Lake Hylia and return Zelda to the real world.
