When you find yourself enjoying a new game, one of the first thoughts you usually have is if you can play it with your friends. The answer will be obvious in most titles, but others, not so much. That’s why we’ll be checking to see if Squirrel with a Gun has any sort of multiplayer mode. After all, more squirrels with even more guns sounds infinitely more fun, right?
The game has more than enough platforming puzzles to solve and a decent number of enemies to shoot as soon as you step into its open world. However, there will always be those who look for the added challenge of working with or against other players.
Does Squirrel with a Gun have multiplayer mode?
No, the game does not have any sort of multiplayer content at the moment. For now, spreading chaos across the neighbourhood is solely a single player experience.
But that shouldn’t take anything away from how enjoyable the game already is. It has everything you’d expect from a platformer, simple yet fun combat, and some amusing animations that should keep you entertained for a while.
Will multiplayer be added later?
At the time of writing, the developer doesn’t seem to have any plans for a multiplayer mode. A roadmap of updates shown on the game’s Steam page doesn’t mention anything about interacting with other players.
An update planned for December hints at another squirrel showing up to become your rival, but that’s likely going to be an NPC that pops up to antagonize you as you search for more Acorns. We won’t know for sure until we get more details.
