Star Wars Outlaws is the latest entry in the Star Wars franchise. The franchise has seen many entries over the years from movies to TV shows and even games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. One thing that never changes when a new piece of material is introduced in the franchise is players trying to figure out where it fits in the timeline. With a timeline that spans thousands of years, it can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint an exact location for specific pieces of media. So when does Star Wars Outlaws take place?
PreviousWhere does Star Wars Outlaws fit in the timeline?
Star Wars Outlaws takes place between Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. This era is also known as the Imperial Era in the Star Wars timeline – the era which lasted from Palapatine’s proclamation of the New Order to the signing of the Galactic Concordance. This is an especially dangerous time because of the Empire’s iron hold on the galaxy and the constant fighting. This time fits perfectly for Star Wars Outlaws as the game follows Kay Vess, a scoundrel who gets mixed up in schemes from the galactic syndicates who are trying to get rich from the chaos covering the galaxy.
There are some familiar faces that you might recognize since Star Wars Outlaws takes place during the time of the original trilogy. For instance, Jaba the Hutt and the Hutt syndicate make an appearance. Jabba is well known for his appearance in Return of the Jedi.
Thanks to its place in the timeline, you will see plenty of Stormtroopers during the events of Star Wars Outlaws. You can also get wanted by the Empire if you perform wrongful actions against them. The Rebels also make an appearance during the game so keep your eyes peeled for more characters that you might be familiar with.
