Tågstationen

With the Tågstationen app, you can find out everything and more about your train and rail traffic in Sweden - wherever you are. For example, it is possible to get an overview of departures/arrivals at a certain station, as well as find out which track a certain train stops at and any delays. There are also many other useful features:

• Search trains by train number

• Filter so that only trains you are interested in are displayed (eg express trains going to your destination)

• Save stations and filters as favorites

• View the nearest station using location services

• See the train on a map if it is equipped with GPS

• Monitor your train and receive notifications when it is cancelled, delayed or rerouted

• Keep track of departures and arrivals using a widget on the home screen

The application uses the Swedish Transport Administration's open API as well as services from Oxyfi and SJ to retrieve traffic information and other data; we reserve the right for any inaccuracies in the information displayed.

Gameplay

Tågstationen, a Swedish word meaning "train station," is a 2-4 player card game where players compete to collect the most valuable train tickets by fulfilling contracts and expanding their railway networks. Each player starts with a hand of cards and a limited number of actions per turn.

Actions

On their turn, players can perform one of four actions:

1. Draw Cards: Draw two cards from the deck or the discard pile.

2. Fulfill a Contract: Play a set of cards that match the requirements of a contract card to earn victory points.

3. Expand Railway Network: Play a locomotive card to connect two of your stations or extend an existing railway line.

4. Take a Risk: Draw a card from the risk pile, which can reward you with additional cards or victory points but also carries the risk of penalties.

Cards

The deck consists of various types of cards:

* Locomotive Cards: Used to expand railway networks.

* Station Cards: Represent stations on the game board.

* Contract Cards: Define the requirements for fulfilling contracts.

* Passenger Cards: Provide additional victory points when used to fulfill contracts.

* Risk Cards: Offer potential rewards or penalties.

Objective

The game ends when all contract cards have been fulfilled or when a player has reached a predetermined score. The player with the most victory points wins the game.

Strategy

To succeed in Tågstationen, players must carefully manage their cards and actions. They need to balance collecting passenger cards for contracts with expanding their railway networks to connect more stations. Taking risks can be rewarding but also risky, so players must weigh the potential benefits against the potential consequences.
